I love art in all forms, all types - it is the ability to create from your thoughts, through your hands, to canvas or clay that inspires me every day! I am so affected by the beauty around me; flowers, animals, birds, and landscapes. Other interests include architecture, streetcars, the female form, and angels. As a child, I was introduced to art museums with beautiful paintings and sculptures. Each time I would see a sculpture I was in awe of how the human form could be recreated to show feeling or emotion, and I was ALWAYS especially drawn to Angels.

At 50 years old, I made a promise to myself to pursue my love of art including paintings, always drawn to multi-media art. Many of my paintings include raised texture and the use of gold, silver, or copper leaf. It was also during this time that I bought a book on sculpting, along with a block of clay to teach myself how to sculpt figures with beauty and emotion. Years later I started combining paintings with sculptures of flowers and birds, creating a collection of  3D "Sculptural Fine Art" on canvas.  A selection of these Fine Art Paintings can be found in Covington, Louisiana at "The French Mix” by Jennifer DiCerbo.

I aspire to create original art that speaks to a person in some way. I also enjoy designing custom art specifically with a client’s vision in mind. These works of art are ‘DB Originals’ because no two paintings are just alike. There will always be an essence in my paintings of God's gift and beauty all around us. To serve as a reminder, a pair of my signature angel wings can be found in every painting!
